A Pluralistic Approach

I take a Pluralistic approach to counselling, which means I draw from a variety of therapeutic methods and tools to tailor our work together. This allows me to provide the most effective support, whether that's through talk therapy, mindfulness techniques or hypnotherapy. My flexible approach ensures that I meet your needs in a way that feels comfortable and effective for you.

Hynotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a gentle but powerful tool that can support deeper relaxation, address ingrained behaviours, and work with the subconscious to help bring about positive change. I use it where appropriate, as a stand alone intervention or integrated into ongoing counselling sessions, always with your comfort and consent at the centre.

Hypnotherapy isn’t a performance, it’s a process. This is not stage hypnosis, it’s not mind control and it’s certainly not about someone “fixing” you, because you’re not broken.

Clinical hypnotherapy is a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps you access the part of your mind that already holds the capacity for healing, change, and growth. It’s not magic, it’s your mind, working with intention.

But here’s what matters most, you have to be ready to show up, you have to be ready to do the work. Lasting change doesn’t happen passively, it asks for your participation and your willingness to be curious, open, and responsible for your journey.

I won’t promise quick fixes, because I do not fix and I won’t take over. But I will walk beside you, with compassion, skill, and care, as you take the steps toward the life you want.

If you’re hoping someone else will take the pain away for you, this might not be the right moment.

But if you’re ready to go inward…To do the work…To reclaim your strength…Then this is your place. This is your way forward. Let’s begin, together.

Why Choose Me

Registered and Accredited:

As a member of NCPS, APHP and APBC, I follow the highest standards of professional ethics and practice.

Enhanced DBS Certificated

Flexible Support:

I primarily offer sessions in my clients’ homes including nursing homes and hospitals, creating a familiar, comforting setting for our work. I also offer Walk and Talk Therapy, allowing us to work together while walking outdoors, ideal for those who find movement and nature soothing or prefer a more informal therapeutic environment. Additionally, I will soon be welcoming clients into my own dedicated office space for in-person sessions in a more traditional setting. Alongside my private practice, I also work for a charity that supports individuals who are unable to leave their homes.

Neuro-affirming:

At Glebe Meadow Counselling, I work from a neurodiversity-affirming and non-pathologising perspective. This means I view neurodivergence as a natural variation in human experience, not something that needs to be fixed.

I use identity-first language, to honour the way many neurodivergent individuals choose to identify. If you have a different preference, I will always follow your lead, please let me know.

I recognize and respect the unique strengths and perspectives neurodivergent people bring, while also acknowledging the very real challenges and barriers they may face.

I never dismiss the impact of those challenges by framing autism, or any neurodivergence, as a “superpower.” Your experience is valid, in all its complexity.

I am open about my own neurodivergence. I believe in transparency and bringing my full, authentic self into the therapeutic relationship.

LGBTQIA+ Affirming:

I welcome and support clients of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, my space is safe, confidential and affirming.

Walk and Talk therapy:

Sometimes it’s easier to talk while walking side by side, with the fresh air around us and nature helping to hold the space. Walk and Talk Therapy offers a gentle, more relaxed way to explore whatever’s on your mind, without the pressure of sitting face-to-face. It can help ease anxiety, release built-up tension, and create a sense of movement both physically and emotionally. Being outdoors often makes things feel less intense and more manageable, and it can be especially helpful if you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed. If you have a dog and they enjoy a stroll too, they’re more than welcome to come along. I’ve found that walking, talking, and simply being in nature can create the perfect setting for reflection, connection, and healing.

All Ages Supported:

I work with children, young people, adults and the elderly, offering tailored support for each stage of life.

Compassionate and Non-judgmental:

Whatever you are going through. I am here to listen and support you.
